Still More Poetry By ME....

A Few, Quite Recent, Pieces:

Last night
the dead
in time
arose
of his own devise,
by a call
that I believed
would never
again ring.

Refreshed, and How Do You Do?

"Hello,
I've been in the woods
building
walls around trees
(around my me).

Time to deconstruct.
Time to rebuild.

I loved putting up
the walls,
but I didn't like being
dead.

Hello
and I love You.

Please forgive my
cowardice.
Please forgive my
pain.

You know,
I've been told,
I'm Mostly Harmless..."

my heart leapt
my mind embraced
my spirit flew
and my universe
set itself,
once again,
balanced and upright.
Aligned
in
its
eternal
invisible
connections
grounded
in
love.

FAULTY MACHINERY

Loving you
is harmful
to my brain.
Occupying several
or more
cells,
with thinking activity,
This or That.
And sometimes
it’s just your name
floating translucent
‘cross my wrinkled
gray
right & left lobes.

Faulty machinery.

When the atmosphere
is aligned
and the weather
just right,
the air gives off
a certain scent
that transports me
to another time
another place,
where you and I
once did reside,
talking,
thinking,
bouncing wild energy
between us two,
between and off
me and you.

And during those moments
of early spring and fall,
I breathe deeply,
pulling in
too many memories
feeling it all.
And my chest aches,
my heart breaks,
my spirit weeps,
for you,
for me,
for what I do not know.

Last night
was such a night
and the air was
just lonely so.
And I felt
all that weight
heavy on my soul.
And I wondered
would I still feel
this way
if I’d never met you,
never looked in you eyes,
never felt your energy,
never known your love.

And I wondered
if maybe
you just give
my everyday angst
a focus,
if maybe
you just give it a name.
